Dr. Mitch Oviatt, DVM BSc. Ag

Dr. Mitch Oviatt graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 2006. He worked in Lethbridge for a year followed by two years in Spokane, WA at McKinlay & Peters Equine before returning to Lethbridge and eventually starting up Ranch Docs along with Dr. Ryan Mohr in 2010. Dr. Oviatt especially enjoys equine medicine, surgery, lameness and dentistry, but is also happy to work on cattle and small animals. When not chasing his five children around, Dr. Oviatt enjoys hunting upland birds behind his Brittany, fly fishing, and trail riding in the mountains.
Dr. Ryan Mohr, DVM

Dr. Ryan Mohr graduated from the western college of veterinary medicine in 2008. Since finishing his veterinary degree Ryan has worked with both small and large animals, but has primarily focused on horses and cattle. Dr. Mohr has a particular interest in working on performance horses. In pursuing this interest he has taken multiple courses involving diagnosis and treatment of lameness. Recently Dr. Mohr became a certified Veterinary chiropractor. This training has worked well to complement treatment of equine athletes, pleasure horses as well as dogs and cats. Other areas of interest include equine reproduction and cow calf herd management.
Dr. Larissa Booth, DVM

Dr. Larissa Booth grew up on a cow calf ranch near Milo, Alberta. She started out her university education at the University of Lethbridge and then graduated from the University of Calgary’s DVM program in 2021. Outside of work, Larissa’s hobbies include hockey, snowboarding, running, horseback riding and helping out on the family ranch. She has always been passionate for all large animal medicine and is excited to be back in Southern Alberta joining the Ranch Docs team.

Spencer McCoy-Whittaker, RVT

Spencer started working at ranch docs in May 2018. She graduated from Lakeland College in 2018 as an Animal Health Technician. She grew up in both Drumheller and Strathmore.
She enjoys spending time with her husband and 4 pets- her cats Ellie and Barb, and her dogs Tatum and Beans.
Kendra Wilson, RVT

Kendra moved to Lethbridge from Dawson Creek BC and joined the growing team at ranch docs in November 2018. She attended Grande Prairie regional college (Fairview campus) graduating in 2016 with her animal health diploma. Kendra grew up on a farm in Lymburn, Alberta with cattle and horses where her love for animals started. She is excited to be working here with all the staff and especially all of your pets and livestock.
Kennedy Poch, RVT

Hello, I’m Kennedy! I was born and raised here in Lethbridge, AB.
Following high -school I attended U of L and received my B.Sc in biology. I had always had an interest in the field of veterinary medicine, so I decided to work towards my RVT. I took the Animal Technology program at Olds College and am excited to finally be getting some hands-on experience! I look forward to continuing to learn and grow in this profession. In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, bouldering, and yoga! I look forward to getting to know the Ranch Docs
team better!
Emily Gray-Root, RVT

Emily graduated from Lakeland college in 2016 and has loved working as an RVT ever since. Emily joined the Ranch Docs team in July 2021, bringing with her experience in both mixed and small animal practice. From a young age she has always had a love for animals, volunteering wherever she could frequently, and now enjoys the wide variety of experiences her work has to offer. Outside of work, Emily enjoys spending time with her family, being a mother of two, reading, and spending time outdoors.
Kandace Knight, RVT

Kandace joined Ranch Docs in November 2021 after graduated from Lakeland College in 2020. Kandace grew up on an acreage outside of Rimbey, AB. Outside of work Kandace enjoys riding her horses, fishing, camping, skiing and spending her time with her family and her dog Levi.




Dakota McDonnell, RVT

Dakota grew up here in Lethbridge Alberta and has had a love for animals from a very young age. She joined the Ranch Docs team after graduating from the Lakeland College Animal Health Technology Program in the spring of 2022. She has a strong passion for working with both large and small animals and is very excited to be a part of the Ranch Docs Team. In her spare time, Dakota enjoys hiking, fishing and spending time with family and friends. She is very eager to continue to learn in this profession and looks forward to meeting all of you and your furry friends!
Beth Rice, RVT

Beth grew up in Burdett, Ab and developed an interest in veterinary medicine while helping out with the animals on her grandparents farm. Beth enjoys working with large animals mainly but has cultivated a love for small animals. In her spare time, Beth enjoys spending time with her dog, two cats, and riding her horses. Beth graduated from the AHT program at Lakeland College in 2022 and joined the Ranch Docs team after completing her practicum.

Erica Countryman, RVT

Erica grew up in Medicine Hat and enjoyed spending time at her grandparent's farm with her older sister and her twin sister. At the farm she came to enjoy spending time with all sorts of animals specifically cattle, dogs and sheep. Erica graduated from the AHT program at Olds College in spring of 2021 and joined the Ranch Docs team shortly after.

Leanne Fontaine

Leanne grew up in Lethbridge with a love for all animals large and small. She graduated from LCC with her Office Administration Diploma in 2002 and went on to get her Animal Science in 2015. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband, son and their three dogs Maverick, Roxy and Zoe. She also enjoys camping, hiking and play a round of golf or two in the summer months. She joined the Ranch Docs team in the summer of 2021.
Delaney Wikenheiser

Delaney grew up in Lethbridge, then completed the veterinary assistant program in Calgary before moving back home and joining the Ranch Docs team. She has had a passion for all animals since a young age and is excited to be working in the veterinary field. In her spare time you can find her she skiing, hiking, paddle-boarding and adventuring with her two rescue dogs Knox and Gunner.

Jesie grew up on a cow farm just outside of Magrath. She attended Magrath High School, often coming to Ranch Docs to do work experience. She has a passion for large animal care and loves helping where she can. Jesie joined Ranch Docs in January while she attends school studying education. In her free time, you can find her playing with her dog Sadie, and helping her dad with the cows.
Sarah Dyck

Sarah started with Ranch Docs in 2021 after years of experience with Animal Services. She's current enrolled in a Veterinary Technition program while working as an assistant. Shes passionate about giving the best care to all animals, with a soft spot for the less fortunate critters. Sarah enjoys spending time outdoors with her GSP, Maggie. She also has a cat, Milo and a ball python named Hershel.

Hello, I’m Lexie! I grew up just outside of Coaldale on an acreage having tons of animals, my favourite things to do are camping, hiking, fishing, snowboarding and of course walking my dog Diddums! I went into the veterinary field because I’ve Always loved animals and went to school to be a veterinary assistant and completed my practicum at Ranch Docs in January, since then I am a receptionist aswell! Very exited to be apart of the Ranch Docs team.
